Please give us 2 weeks notice for Large sizes as we may not have available

Traditional family recipe made in store

We soak our dried fruit for a minimum of 2 weeks before baking our cakes

This recipe includes peel – that we hand cut and boil so its not bitter and has a delicious light orange aroma

Our cakes are then made with real NewZealand butter and a few secret spices! a touch of almond meal with flour for the added moisture of the cakes.

After the slow baking of our fruit cakes we then soak them 3 times with loads of French Brandy. Keeping them for a week, re soaking and then off to the shelf for sale.

Cakes soaked in French Brandy and all have a arrangement of baked in fruit and nuts on top

This year we have aged puddings – 1 Year old soaked 6 times over the year (new 2025)

Steamed for 3 hours and soaked in plenty of French Brandy! Our fruit mix is soaked over 2 weeks prior to creating our puddings. A mix of dried fruit including dried plums (Prunes) and yes orange peel – but we make it from fresh orange peel in store! & its a sweet and a delicious touch

Don’t forget our delicious home made vanilla bean custard with brandy to pour over the top. Fresh custard has a shelf life of 4 days as its fresh made custard with eggs and cream.

Fruit Mince Pies

Fruit Mince Pies made the old traditional way and each one made by hand here too!

Melt in your mouth shortcrust pastry with real NewZealand butter and fresh home made full of flavour fruit mince filling.

Soaking the fruit for 2 weeks in apple cider and brandy, before cooking tiny pieces of apple in butter and brown sugar and a few secret spices.

Mixing together the delicious hot cooked apples with the 2 week soaked fruit to create the most sensational fruit mince pie filling even the fruit mince pie haters will like them! we have actually converted some.

No artificial flavours, additives, preservatives or colours.
